“With your Backround in Economics I think you would be a perfect candidate to get Florida back on its feet.Another potential I see is that since you are of Iranian decsent your election to office might help us improve relations with Iran.I pray that other citizens in Florida vote for you,The task of rebuilding Florida’s economy should be given to a person who is good with money not someone who is good with words. YOU ARE THE MAN!”
-Giovanni Rosado, Orlando, FL
“I’m reading your book now. Your economic model is the most sensical approach to a truly sustainable economy I’ve ever encountered. The ideas in your book are the same that I hoped Obama’s administration would undertake to get us out of this economic downward spiral.”
-Omar Fagundo, Miami, FL
“After listening to Dr.khavari’s plan and the examples of N.D.banking, solar energy for the sunshine state that California is leading,it was finally interesting to hear a candidate that had spent years researching his proposals in economic alternative to know the state will keep generating the interest within the state budget, instead of private interests. nuclear power plants are presently the future it frightens me that we so easily go along with what this will do to our eco system and future generations.”
-Deborah Hall, Palmetto, FL
“I just found out about you today, and after reserching about you and your vision for florida you have made my day
So far you have my vote friend! Wish you the best on your efforts to revitalize the state. Hopefully this is something that can domino effect its way through the entire nation. America will trully become great once again. With people like you, i trully feel there still is hope to turn this world around towards a new golden age.”
-Fabian Obeso (From Facebook)
“Florida has a candidate that has incredible ideas for the economy, environment and jobs creation. He appears very much against the current political status quo and has the ability to think outside of the box. I am a conservative from Texas and even though this man is a democrat, in my opinion he is very revolutionary in his own way much like Debra Medina was here in Texas. I haven’t followed you guys there in Florida or know if you have discussed him in any depth. I would think he would be a very worthy canidate to get excited about and start supporting with the same public passion that the tea party group sometimes displays for their candidates. Just thought I’d share and thought you would appreciate. He has a website for his ideas in a free ebook at http://www.zerocosteconomy.com and his official campaign page is http://www.khavariforgovernor.com/”
-Shane Brooks, Waco, TX (From Facebook)
“I heard Dr. Khavari on WMNF. His grasp of economic theory and his history of promoting renewable energy resonates with me. I believe that Florida should listen to him and establish a state run bank. His experience and knowledge of renewable energy sources would also help our state move into the future in a good way.”
-James Payne, Temple Terrace
“He has put in words what I feel, think and would expect from this great country. I have been slowly making plans to move to Canada because some relatives fair much better economically and with healthcare, Dr. Khavari has given me the reason to reconsider that. I heard him on WLRN with Joseph Cooper and was very moved by his personal experience with his parents in Iran. I have never supported a polical candidate ever but I would like to see him succeed for all of us.”
-Nicholas Savarino, Miami
“Mr Khavari has the BEST plan in operation the question is not why I want Farid to be the next Governer it’s why I would want any one else to be Governer of Florida with out a plan like this one.”
-Akin Wilson, Vero Beach
“I think your ideas reach far beyond our current crisis and if enacted could see a much brighter future for all Floridians.”
-Tamara Boyll-Olah, Brandon
“I think Dr Khavari has innovative ideas to solve our budget foes. He thinks outside the box while our current crop of politicians are bereft of ideas.Florida needs Dr. Khavari, the State Bank is an absolute gem of an idea.I am stepping out with you Dr. Khavari!”
-Gershwin Stephen, Miramar
“Farid speaks for the hard working people of Florida. I plan on getting into politics and following the path Farid paves.”
-Brian Silk, Lakeland
“As a Floridan and United States Citizen mother of two, I am definitely feeling the pressure of not being able to find a job. This has been so for quite some time now. Florida needs a leader that will be committed to the well being of this state that will be able to put it’s people back into the workforce so that they can provide for their families. It’s time for change. Florida needs a leader with a “strong back,” someone that will think and breathe about it’s people and a person that really cares from within the heart. We need a fresh pair of eyes for long term vision.”
-Joanne Guada
“I first heard about Dr. Khavari on WMNF and I was extremely impressed with his ideas. I think everything he espouses would be acceptable to everyone including Repubicans because his economic plan is so easy to understand and also he is environmental.I am telling family and friends about him and will do all in my power to help. Does he need signatures to get on the ballot? Let me know and I will get some!!!! One lady called in after the radio show and was a registered Republican but she said she would vote for him if she could!”
-Eileen Mandujano, Largo
“I think Dr. Khavari should be the next Governor because he understands the fiat currency system, and recognizes Florida can be out of debt almost immediately with a few adjustments in usury laws.”
-Caleb Payne, Orlando
“I believe Farid Khavari will bring new economic thought and a fresh approach to Florida politics.”
-Shane Holman, Tampa
“I heard Farid on a WMNF interview yesterday and he made more sense than anyone I have heard in many years. He has a plan and although their are many obstacles to acheiving this plan (i.e. State Congressional support in legislation), that is no reason to say it can’t be done. The Democratic party needs to back this unique candidate.”
-James Grant, St Petersburg
“Farid Khavari is neither a “Democrat” nor a “Republican” as we have come to know them. Mr. Khavari is more than that, he is an economist who is truly concerned with the condition of our State and its current financial structure; as well as that of the United States as a whole. Mr. Khavari has a solid, common sense plan to steer Florida in the right direction that will certainly appeal to all sides of the political spectrum.”
-Robert Fuhrer, Titusville
“A state bank, as proposed by Farid, could help save Florida citizens from the financial calamity that now threatens the world.”
-Robert Cole, Temple Terrace
“The State Bank concept has worked for North Dakota and I believe it will work for Florida. Thank you Mr. Khavari for championing this idea for Florida.”
-Steven Yale, Tampa
“Finally someone who is not intertwined with all the political web spun through connections without the real problems in sight . Someone with a real plan to get the State out of this crisis .”
-Martina Schramm, Miramar
“I like the idea of having a state bank, I can see how it will be in the favor of us floridians. We are saving money, doing business with the state will in turn provide better opportunities and help us secure a better financial future.”
-Emmanuel Miot, Miami
“Because he is the only person apart from Ross Perot, Mike Papantonion, and Bobby Kennedy who cares about what is going on in this country. He wants all Americans to have the same affordable lifestyle that this country use to have back in the 1950s and 1960s before Ronald Reagan and his cronies in government and in Corporate America wreck it.”
-Gunther Von Hoffman, Sacramento
“I am excited that you are running for Governor… Congratulations and looking forward to telling people that I personally know the Governor of Florida!”
-Melissa Artemik
“Dr. Khavari, you are a ray of sunshine in an otherwise darkened world! I just learned about you today. I am a mere citizen, not a politician, but I’ll spread the word, and will try to arrange an audience for you in Tampa.”
-Robert Cole
“We are proud of you and your back ground as a brilliant Iranian American from our beautiful state of Florida and find the case that you are making to rescue the state through its economy extremely compelling.”
-Shaheen Cavandi
“I found myself completely riveted by the content of your website… I would like to do my part to spread the word about your campaign.”
-Doug Merriott
“I have just learned of your candidacy and am very excited to see someone running for the governorship with the idea of starting a State Bank. I have been an advocate of a State Bank for years and have always felt I was talking to the wind. People seemed to think it was impossible. Bravo for your courage and effort. I will be looking more closely at your blueprint in the next few days. Again, thanks for running on this platform! ”
-Alan, Tampa Bay
“Even though I am not a Florida resident, I heard about your terrific idea for creating a State Bank in Florida form author Ellen Brown in her latest article on this subject in Huffington Post: Job Losses? Not in North Dakota. A Stimulus Plan That Really Works
I have been following Ellen’s articles on the State Bank of North Dakota for some time, and even set up a petition to do the same for California here: http://www.change.org/actions/view/help_the_terminator_save_california which has about 500 e-signatures so far. Each signee gets his/her e-petition emailed to over a dozen California state representatives, including the Governor, and I faxed the entire 9 page petition with all signatures when it hit 400 names, recently.
By the way, I am not at all threatened by the thought of Florida withdrawing its money from NYC Wall Street Banks, even though I live in New York City. It is high time they started underwriting new businesses and fostering actual business ventures instead of engaging in toxic derivatives like they’ve been doing. New York should set up a State Bank as well, as should all states, but given the political pressure of Wall Street, we will probably be last.
Well, good luck in your campaign, and thanks for being a courageous and original thinker. This is change we can really believe in.”
-Scott Baker
“Yours is a BRILLIANT proposal in re: The Bank of Florida. Even if you don’t win, PLEASE go out nationally and speak and write on this general topic OFTEN. I never even knew this could be done. I’m sure MOST people don’t know this could be done. Of course, there are those who don’t want people to know but you’ve got to let them know anyway.”
-KNE, Chicago, IL (yup, I don’t even live in Florida!)
“Florida Residents,
Please look this over: http://www.zerocosteconomy.com This man is running for Governor as part of a growing movement to create State Chartered Banks. They can issue money at low interest and return the revenues to the common good[Instead of into the hands parasitic bankers who have done nothing but create "money from nothing" and charge interest] Ethical practices are to be written into it’s charter that avoid speculation, manipulation and sub prime ARMs.
By using the existing rules of fractional reserve banking ,plenty of funds will be available to jump start a solar energy boom providing new small businesses/jobs with out inflation.Personal costs can be lowered with a decentralized energy network and the elimination of property tax. We would need much, much less oil from the world market. See more here http://webofdebt.com”

“Dear Staff and Team for Dr. Khavari,
My name is Gregory Mihalich and I have been involved in the monetary reform community since 2005 but have been studying our funding system since I earned my B.S. Finance. Presently, I am loosely affiliated with the American Monetary Institute where I did help in the initial drafting of the American Monetary Act. In addition, I have contributed to Ellen Brown’s blogsite and have exchanged emails with her several times. I think my support of the State-Banking model of funding did not sit well with Mr. Zarlenga (AMI) and my requesting of letting Ms. Brown speak at his conferences may have not been taken well either. I feel my friends at AMI have undeservedly criticized Ms. Brown even though they seem to have let up a bit.
I have always been in support of attacking the monetary question on both the federal and state fronts. To me it seems a brilliant approach to use the monetary labs that each state provides us, being that they have tremendous governmental infrastructure to work with. If for only proving that the government can be trusted with managing its monetary affairs, it would be worth setting up a state run bank as a first step towards a debt free funding model.
Currently I am working on a book, which includes my and my partner’s ideas on a long-term solution to debt-based fractional expansion of the money supply. I have solved for Fisher and concluded the 100% solution (Chicago Plan). I am sorry to say it but Fisher did not close the door to fractional expansion and the usury problem. I have, and my partner and I are putting it into a book.
I believe our solution is either key to solving the funding problem or will take its place in augmentation of a state model of banking. Not sure, how these issues will play out. In any case, I am very happy to see that this message of monetary reform is picking up steam and we are finally seeing true leadership come to the forefront. Thank you.
I do live in the state of Florida right now but am moving to Georgia with my writing partner for the next 6 months or so to work on our book. He wants to be closer to his wife who is now in training with the army. After that, they will move and I will be heading back to Florida.
If my services are needed in your campaign, I am at your service. Just let me know how I can help. If there are any fulltime positions, I would more than gladly return early or not leave. I can work over the internet with my writing partner.
A little about my partner: His name is Mike Burns. He has a B.A. Mathematics an M.A. Education and is working on a Phd. Education. With Mike’s help, we have been able to take an objective view of the funding question and approach the subject mathematically as well as socially. According to Mike, we can prove our solutions work with hard numbers, which as you may know is not the general approach in the monetary reform community.
Perhaps we may offer you some help in proving the state model?
Good luck with your campaign!
Sincerely,
-Gregory J. Mihalich
